Do I get the same fuel at every fuel station? This is a frequently asked question that can never be answered with 100% certainty. However, it is a fact that the distribution method plays a role in the fuel quality of a fuel station. This can vary by region.
Lower fuel quality can cause reduced power and higher fuel consumption. This can be improved with a fuel additive.
Lindemann offers additives for both small and large quantities. Ultimately, using an additive results in more power, fuel savings and better lubrication of the fuel system.
We advise every user to clean the fuel system with a premium-quality Lindemann additive during a service interval or every 5,000 kilometres.
Fuel quality abroad
In the past, different names and types of fuel were used abroad. Nowadays, however, fuel names are the same throughout Europe. Petrol is now E10 and diesel is now B7. This makes things clearer and helps prevent refuelling with the wrong fuel.
Even so, people still regularly add the wrong fuel and then need to have the tank pumped empty.
New product for diesel fuel
There are major differences worldwide in the quality of petrol and diesel fuel. This applies especially to diesel fuel quality in distant countries. Compared with Europe, diesel in those countries is often cheaper, but also of lower quality.
This is often related to a cetane number that is too low. This can cause reduced power, contamination and engine noise. Lindemann has developed a new product for diesel engines experiencing these kinds of problems.
This concentrated diesel additive increases the cetane number, provides more engine power and additional lubrication, and can deliver fuel savings of up to 10%. It is available in both small and large quantities.
