Hello,
I drive a Renault Megane 1.5dci station from 2010. Mileage now 304,000.
On the way to a Swedish department store I suddenly received a message in my display “stop, risk of engine damage”, of course we were shocked and immediately stopped the car at a gas station. I called my regular garage and after a few questions and checks we drove home. The car drove just fine, without hitches, without holding back and without smoke. When we got home, we made an appointment at the garage. They checked it out in the garage and it turned out that the particulate filter was clogged. The measurement indicated 80 milligrams of soot, which meant it was clogged. The solution was to have a new particulate filter installed for approximately 1500 euros. After being told that I wasn't going to do that for a while, I drove home and started searching on the internet. I then came across a product from Lindemann at DPP. My choice fell on the total care diesel for less than 55 euros.
Ordered and delivered quickly, of course I was sceptical. Of course, such a remedy can never solve a problem costing 1,500 euros. I added the product to half a tank of diesel and drove as described for 25 minutes at 2500 rpm. Nothing happened at first. But when I was driving the car on the way to work a few days later (160 km further), the red “stop” light suddenly went out.
Unfortunately, an orange message was replaced: “check your air pollution”. Learned that orange isn't as bad as red but still irritating. Another 2 days later that message also went out. Drove to the garage in the evening and had it measured. Instead of 80 milligrams of soot, there was now only 7 milligrams of soot. Even the technician was surprised and immediately noted down what had gone in so that he can tell other customers. The car drives much better, pulls better and is also more economical in my opinion. Great stuff, now I'm going to add it every 20,000 km for prevention.
Kind regards,
