De Laat Coffee, a coffee bean producer in Nieuwkuijk, was using a lubricant that was not suitable for high temperatures. “The result was dripping grease, more frequent lubrication and downtime due to dry-running or broken bearings.”
After receiving advice, De Laat Coffee decided to try Lindemann HTF-G, a High Temperature Food Grease. This is a food-safe and approved USDA H1 lubricant with exceptional properties.
This food-grade lubricating grease does not melt, drip or carbonise, even under extreme pressure and extremely high temperatures, with a temperature range from -40°C to +400°C.

The first results are very good. At De Laat Coffee, Lindemann lubricant is used for the bearings mounted on a drum that constantly rotates to roast the coffee.
The difference compared with the previous lubricant is that the motor runs more consistently and the bearings require less lubricant. As a result, we now only need to add lubricant once a week instead of twice a week. That means 52 fewer lubrication moments per year.
In addition, the lubricant is resistant to higher temperatures, so it does not leak. During coffee roasting, temperatures of 260 degrees are reached.
A major benefit is that it saves costs. The coffee roaster runs more consistently, which has improved the quality of the coffee beans.
