Is your engine making more noise, using oil, or no longer running as smoothly as it should? Internal friction and wear can gradually reduce engine performance, especially during cold starts when moving parts are most vulnerable to metal-to-metal contact.
Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment protects the engine from the inside. Its PTFE/Teflon formula forms a protective lubricating film on moving components, helping reduce friction, wear, engine noise, and light oil consumption while supporting smoother engine operation.
Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment is commonly used for:
When friction, wear, or insufficient lubrication are affecting engine performance, a protective oil additive can make a noticeable difference.
Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment is added directly to the engine oil. Once the engine is running, the product circulates through the oil system and reaches moving components such as the camshaft, piston rings, cylinder walls, crankshaft, and valve train.
The PTFE/Teflon molecules help form a protective lubricating layer on these surfaces. This reduces metal-to-metal contact, lowers internal resistance, and helps protect the engine against wear, especially during cold starts.
Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment is suitable for all combustion engines, including petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles. It can be used in all car brands and is compatible with all mineral and synthetic motor oils.
This product is especially suitable for engines that need extra protection but do not yet show heavy wear. For older engines with more than 200,000 kilometres or clear wear symptoms, Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is usually the better choice.
One 300 ml bottle is suitable for up to 6 litres of motor oil. Add again after every oil change for lasting protection, and always replace the oil filter during an oil service.
Do not use this product in motorcycles with a wet clutch. Do not use it in new or rebuilt engines that have driven less than 2,500 kilometres.
The greatest engine wear often occurs during cold starts, before lubrication has reached all moving parts. By reducing friction and creating an additional protective layer, Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment helps protect the engine during these critical moments.
Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment is ideal for preventative maintenance, smoother engine performance, reduced engine noise, lower friction, and long-term protection of petrol, diesel, and hybrid engines.

FAQ
In general, most additives on the additive market are fairly similar. The raw materials are the same in most products. The difference, however, lies in the ratio between the active chemical ingredients and the base ingredients such as oil and white petroleum.
The proportion of active ingredients in Lindemann additives is significantly higher than in most competing products. This results in a longer-lasting and more effective performance.
In addition, several specific Lindemann products have extra distinguishing properties.
Lindemann additives are often based on Teflon. Teflon has several beneficial properties.
When you use a Lindemann Teflon additive, resistance is significantly reduced. Especially during a cold start, Teflon creates much less friction than regular oil. The less resistance there is, the less energy is needed to keep the car running. Fuel savings are therefore one of the results.
In addition, Teflon settles into small cavities and scratches. This can help reduce oil consumption, for example. Teflon is also able to withstand extremely high pressure, helping to prevent wear at all times.
We recommend Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment when there is already some degree of engine wear. As a rule of thumb, you can use Engine Performance Treatment (EPT) below 200,000 km, and Worn Engine Treatment (WET) above that.
However, if the engine has always been well maintained and there is no oil consumption or excessive exhaust smoke, you can still use Engine Performance Treatment even above 200,000 km.
Yes, you can. If an oil change is planned in the near future, we recommend waiting until after the oil change before adding it. If that is not the case, you can simply add it to the current oil.
Keep in mind that you should not exceed the maximum oil level. This will usually only be an issue if the oil is already filled completely to the maximum level before adding the product, but it is still worth pointing out.
