Is your engine losing oil, leaving oil spots, or using more oil than usual? Oil leakage and oil consumption are often caused by worn seals, hardened gaskets, or increased clearance between internal engine components.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak helps reduce oil leakage and oil consumption in one treatment. Its formula restores the flexibility of hardened O-rings, oil seals, and gaskets without using plasticisers, while PTFE/Teflon helps reduce friction and protect internal components affected by wear.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak is commonly used for:
When oil loss is caused by hardened seals, light wear, or reduced sealing performance, an oil stop leak treatment can make a noticeable difference.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak is added directly to the engine oil, manual gearbox oil, or differential oil. Once the system is running, the product circulates with the oil and reaches seals, gaskets, O-rings, and internal components.
The active formula helps bring hardened sealing components back towards their original flexibility without making them overly soft. At the same time, PTFE/Teflon helps reduce friction and provides extra protection where wear has created small clearances.
Many oil leak stoppers use plasticisers to soften rubber seals. Lindemann Oil Stop Leak is different: it helps restore seal flexibility without plasticisers, making the treatment more durable and reducing the risk of temporary over-softening.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak is suitable for all petrol and diesel engines and can also be used in manual gearboxes and differentials. It is compatible with all mineral and synthetic motor oils and is safe for engines with a wet timing belt or timing chain.
Do not use this product in automatic transmissions, steering racks, or motorcycles with a wet clutch. For automatic transmissions, use Lindemann Automatic Transmission Treatment. For power steering systems, use Lindemann Power Steering Treatment.
Oil leakage and oil consumption can lead to higher running costs, smoke emissions, and more serious mechanical problems if ignored. Treating the issue early can help restore sealing performance and reduce further oil loss.
One 300 ml bottle is suitable for up to 6 litres of oil. Maximum results can take approximately 400 to 500 kilometres.

FAQ
In general, most additives on the additive market are fairly similar. The raw materials are the same in most products. The difference, however, lies in the ratio between the active chemical ingredients and the base ingredients such as oil and white petroleum.
The proportion of active ingredients in Lindemann additives is significantly higher than in most competing products. This results in a longer-lasting and more effective performance.
In addition, several specific Lindemann products have extra distinguishing properties.
Lindemann additives are often based on Teflon. Teflon has several beneficial properties.
When you use a Lindemann Teflon additive, resistance is significantly reduced. Especially during a cold start, Teflon creates much less friction than regular oil. The less resistance there is, the less energy is needed to keep the car running. Fuel savings are therefore one of the results.
In addition, Teflon settles into small cavities and scratches. This can help reduce oil consumption, for example. Teflon is also able to withstand extremely high pressure, helping to prevent wear at all times.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak (OSL) is very similar to Worn Engine Treatment. The difference is that OSL also keeps oil seals and other seals flexible, without using plasticizers, helping to reduce oil leaks.
If you are experiencing oil consumption and suspect there may also be a light oil leak, Oil Stop Leak is usually the safest choice.
Yes, you can. If an oil change is planned in the near future, we recommend waiting until after the oil change before adding it. If that is not the case, you can simply add it to the current oil.
Keep in mind that you should not exceed the maximum oil level. This will usually only be an issue if the oil is already filled completely to the maximum level before adding the product, but it is still worth pointing out.
That depends on which circuit you apply it to. Oil Stop Leak is not suitable for adding to the automatic transmission fluid circuit (ATF oil).
You can always add Oil Stop Leak to the engine oil. It does not matter whether your car has a manual or automatic transmission, because these are separate circuits.
