Is your engine using oil, making more noise, or no longer running as smoothly as it should? As engines age, internal wear can lead to lower compression, higher oil consumption, more friction, engine noise, and reduced performance.
Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is designed for engines that already show signs of wear. Its PTFE/Teflon formula forms a protective lubricating film on internal engine parts, helping reduce oil consumption, increase compression, lower friction, and protect moving components against further wear.
Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is commonly used for:
When wear, friction, or reduced compression are affecting engine performance, an oil additive designed for worn engines can make a noticeable difference.
Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is added directly to the engine oil. Once the engine is running, the product circulates through the oil system and reaches all moving internal engine components.
The PTFE/Teflon particles help create a protective lubricating layer on surfaces exposed to friction and wear. This reduces metal-to-metal contact, lowers internal resistance, and supports smoother, quieter engine operation.
Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is suitable for all petrol and diesel engines where extra protection is desired due to mileage, wear, or reduced smoothness. It is especially recommended for engines with more than 200,000 kilometres.
For younger engines with less wear or less than 200,000 kilometres, Lindemann Engine Performance Treatment is usually the better choice.
One 300 ml bottle is suitable for up to 6 litres of engine oil. The product is compatible with mineral and synthetic engine oils and is also suitable for engines with a wet timing belt or timing chain.
Do not use this product in motorcycles with a wet clutch. Do not use it in new or rebuilt engines that have driven less than 2,500 kilometres.
Older engines often benefit from extra lubrication and friction reduction. By reducing internal resistance and creating a protective lubricating film, Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment helps support smoother running, reduced engine noise, improved compression, and lower oil consumption.
Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment is ideal for high-mileage vehicles, older petrol and diesel engines, and engines that show signs of wear but are still in regular use.

FAQ
In general, most additives on the additive market are fairly similar. The raw materials are the same in most products. The difference, however, lies in the ratio between the active chemical ingredients and the base ingredients such as oil and white petroleum.
The proportion of active ingredients in Lindemann additives is significantly higher than in most competing products. This results in a longer-lasting and more effective performance.
In addition, several specific Lindemann products have extra distinguishing properties.
Lindemann additives are often based on Teflon. Teflon has several beneficial properties.
When you use a Lindemann Teflon additive, resistance is significantly reduced. Especially during a cold start, Teflon creates much less friction than regular oil. The less resistance there is, the less energy is needed to keep the car running. Fuel savings are therefore one of the results.
In addition, Teflon settles into small cavities and scratches. This can help reduce oil consumption, for example. Teflon is also able to withstand extremely high pressure, helping to prevent wear at all times.
We recommend Lindemann Worn Engine Treatment when there is already some degree of engine wear. As a rule of thumb, you can use Engine Performance Treatment (EPT) below 200,000 km, and Worn Engine Treatment (WET) above that.
However, if the engine has always been well maintained and there is no oil consumption or excessive exhaust smoke, you can still use Engine Performance Treatment even above 200,000 km.
Yes, you can. If an oil change is planned in the near future, we recommend waiting until after the oil change before adding it. If that is not the case, you can simply add it to the current oil.
Keep in mind that you should not exceed the maximum oil level. This will usually only be an issue if the oil is already filled completely to the maximum level before adding the product, but it is still worth pointing out.
Lindemann Oil Stop Leak (OSL) is very similar to Worn Engine Treatment. The difference is that OSL also keeps oil seals and other seals flexible, without using plasticizers, helping to reduce oil leaks.
If you are experiencing oil consumption and suspect there may also be a light oil leak, Oil Stop Leak is usually the safest choice.
